Biography
Dean is synonymous with accessibility at Carleton University. An executive, he was regional director of the Ontario March of Dimes, executive director of the Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association and director of Carleton’s READ Initiative for six years. An athlete, he represented Canada over three decades at the Paralympics and world championships in several sports. A volunteer, he served a three-year term on the Province of Ontario Accessibility Standards Advisory Committee/Standards Development Committee. Dean earned a Master’s in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University.
